Chemeketa men's and women's soccer will begin the first round of NWAACC playoffs on Wednesday November 10th.
The women who finished third in league with a 6-4-4 record, will travel to Edmonds Community College who was the second place team from the Northern region. This 5:30 pm match will be played at Meadowdale high school in Lynnwood, Washington. With a win the Storm women would travel to Bellevue for a second round playoff match up on Saturday November 13th.
The men who finished second in league with a 9-2-2 record, will host Edmonds Community College, the third place team from the Northern region. This 2:30 pm match will be held at Willamette University. A win would send the Storm men on the road to Columbia Basin Community College for a second round match up on Saturday November 13th.
On Wednesday November 10th at 7 pm the Storm will play their final regular season home match against the league leading Mt. Hood Saints. The Storm are currently in second place going into the match, and a win will secure them the second seed from the Southern region for the NWAACC Championship tournament. A Storm loss coupled with a Linn Benton victory over Clackamas would create a tie for second place. This would mean a third seed in the NWAACC tournament for the Storm as Linn Benton holds the tie breaker advantage. Along with the playoff implications it will also be sophomore night and the last Chemeketa home game for those ladies. This should prove to be an exciting night so come out and support Storm volleyball.
