Citizen volunteers provide budget oversight
Chemeketa's budget committee supervises the development of the budget. It is composed of the seven Board of Education members and seven appointed citizens, one from each of the zones in the district. Committee members are appointed for three-year terms, staggered so that approximately one-third of the terms of the appointive members end each year. The budget committee has the power to approve, disapprove, and modify all or parts of the college budget.
