On behalf of our entire college community I would like to welcome you and encourage you to discover the many ways Chemeketa can help you fulfill your goals.  We are here to help you whether you plan to take classes and transfer to a four year college or university or complete one of the 34 career-technical programs including nursing, fire science, computer information systems, visual communications, and automotive technology and manufacturing technologies.  You may also be interested in our early college program or want to improve your well being through lifelong learning.  We can also help you with your small business and workforce training.  With two campuses, five outreach and specialized community centers and a robust on-line educational program you are sure to find the learning place for you.

We have an active student life with opportunities for students to participate in multicultural activities, student government, student leadership, clubs, and intercollegiate athletics.  Our student services such as financial aid, library, tutoring, computer labs, wireless access and student portal are here to provide you with support outside the classroom and make your experience at Chemeketa as smooth as possible. Our excellent faculty and staff are dedicated to helping you succeed.

“Chemeketa” is a word from the language of the local Kalapuya people meaning “a place of peace.”  We bring together people throughout our district to build the strength of our communities.  We have an involved Board of Education that supports our employees and students and are committed to providing an exceptional learning environment. We are committed to diversity, quality, student success and sustainability in our programs and services.

Our core themes provide the basis for our work and the promises we have made to the community.  Through our programs and services we provide -

  • Academic Quality - Quality programs, instruction and support services are provided to students
  • Access - A broad range of educational opportunities and workforce training is provided to students in pursuit of their goals
  • Community Collaborations - Instruction, training and workforce development are provided through collaboration with educational partners, businesses and community groups
  • Student Success - Students progress and complete their educational goals

Our college is your college. Discover how Chemeketa can become part of you and transform your life!

Wishing you every success,
