Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the Vineyard Management/Winemaking
program and Northwest Viticulture
Center at Chemeketa Community College.
The program and center, with its vineyards planted to cool climate varieties and a producing commercial-sized winery, provides a unique opportunity
for instruction and practical, hands-on training and experience in the
basic knowledge and technical skills required for successful
employment in a variety of areas within the wine grape industry.
Classroom instruction, laboratory and field applications of viticulture
and enological principles and practices are included in the program of
study.
Our students represent a diversity of age, education and experience, but
have a strong common interest: grapes and wine, and the diverse opportunities
within this growing industry.
We welcome your inquiries. If, after exploring these pages, you
