This workshop is designed for winemakers and winery personnel who would like hands-on training in the use of a microscope. Experts in the field of wine microbiology will lead participants through:

  • The many uses of a microscope in a winery
  • How to prepare a microscope slide
  • How to observe yeast and bacteria using a phase
    contrast microscope
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting
  • How to culture wine microorganisms

Microscopes will be provided for practical, hands-on instruction. Due to the laboratory based nature of this event we must limit the workshop to 18 participants, so REGISTER EARLY!
