This workshop is designed for winemakers and winery personnel who would
like hands-on training in the use of a microscope. Experts in the field of wine
microbiology will lead participants through:
- The many uses of a microscope in a winery
- How to prepare a microscope slide
- How to observe yeast and bacteria using a phase
contrast microscope
- Maintenance and troubleshooting
- How to culture wine microorganisms
Microscopes will be provided for practical, hands-on
instruction. Due to the laboratory based nature of this
event we must limit the workshop to 18 participants,
so REGISTER EARLY!
