Distance Education
Distance education courses are available to students as an alternative to attendance in on-campus classes. you can meet most of the requirements of a two-year degree through distance education. Many students complete a degree with a mix of traditional and distance education courses.
Listings, registration procedures, and information about distance education courses are avalable at http://www.chemeketa.edu/catalog/studies/distance.html or at online.chemeketa.edu and are published each term in the Schedule of Classes.
Online Classes
Online Classes allow you to access your class material through a computer. You'll need access to a computer and Internet connection.
Telecourses
Telecourses allow you to earn college credits at home. Assignments are based on televised lectures. You may view the broadcasts on your own set or watch videotapes of these classes at the Salem Public Library, the Salem Campus Media Center, or at the McMinnville, Santiam, or Woodburn campuses. You may also rent videotapes of these classes.
Chemeketa Television (CTV)
Chemeketa Television (CTV) broadcasts live telecasts of Salem Campus classes to Chemeketa campuses outside of Salem. Two-way communication allows students at the outreach campuses to participate in the classes.
CTV Cable Classes
CTV Cable Classes are broadcast right in your home as they are being taught simultaneously on campus. Use your telephone to interact with the class and instructor.
