Salem Campus
You won't find a "typical" student at Chemeketa. Our students are all ages, from recent high school graduates to retired people. Some of our students attend full time, others attend part time. Many combine work and school.
In 1964, even before there was a Chemeketa, Salem Technical-Vocational School moved to our present site on Lancaster Drive, where a one-story brick building, a machine and welding shop, and a number of temporary buildings soon made up the campus. Over time, we added buildings as our student body has expanded. Today, our main campus sits on 176 acres and has 44 buildings.
The best way to get to know our campus is to visit us and let one of our students give you a guided tour. Visitor parking permits are available from the Information Booth located in front of the main entrance to Building 2 or in Building 2 at the Public Safety Office. Stop by the Student Life Office in Building 2 or fill out the Request for Information form available on this web site to schedule tour. You may also contact us by calling 503.399.3995.
