Automotive Repair
General Auto Repair XAU0770B (CRN 14445) This course is designed to provide an in-depth theory and hands on instruction in general auto repair including the service and repair of disc and drum brakes, manual and power brakes, brake system control, and indicating devices following accepted industry safety practices. In this course, there will also be incorporated the following components: Electrical basics, safety in the work place, and under-car service and repair (including Tire Service). In addition, there will be an overview of how current technology is being utilized in the automotive industry.
El curso proveerá un análisis profundo de la teoría y práctica de mecánica automotriz y servicio general del carro, incluyendo reparación del sistema de frenos, sistema eléctrico, servicio de motor, suspensión y llantas. Auto Body Repair XAUM0001C( CRN 14442 ) This class focuses on Basic automobile body repair stressing shop safety, tools and equipment, minor metal straightening, filling, welding, brazing, and heat-shrinking and painting.

Driver's ED
Chemeketa Driver Education program teaches—Line of Sight Path of Travel; Reference points; 10 good driving habits for low risk driving. We are affordable and have classes at convenient locations, dates and times. This program is ODOT approved.
The goal of the program is to eliminate preventable accidents and to prepare young drivers for a complex driving environment. This traffic safety course is endorsed by the Oregon Department of Transportation and includes 34 hours of classroom and 12 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. The program serves students ages 15 through adult. Cost for students with an Oregon instruction permit who are under 18 is $260, and cost for adults with an Oregon instruction permit and/or student with a license is $285. To register students will need a photocopy of permit or license, front and back; a completed enrollment form, and payment. Pre-registration is required. English Now! Citizenship Preparation
(CRN 14532) This class provides students with the resources to interpret and complete the Immigration and Naturalization Services Application for Naturalization (form N-400) and prepare them for the oral interview. The course will detail the application process and explore civics and responsibilities of becoming a United States citizen. The course will also include examination of the functions of local, state, and federal government.

El curso examina las preguntas, la historia y la función del gobierno de Estados Unidos a nivel federal, estatal y local. Además, examina la responsabilidad cívica del buen ciudadano.
English Now! Computer Principles for Spanish Speakers
Introduces intermediate to low non-native English speakers to basic vocabulary patterns connected with computer usage. Covers learning how to use e-mail, basic and intermediate word processing, effective use of the Internet Browser and an introduction to MS Excel.
French and Russian
FR101 (15369), FR102 (15370), RUS101 (15369), RUS102 (15370) All of these language credit classes are designed to introduce students to the languages (including listening, speaking, reading, and writing) as well as the cultures of these countries (geography, customs, daily life, heritage and literature). These classes are to be taken sequentially. Each class is 4 credits.
Parenting
Effective Parenting (CRN 15342-day, taught in spanish and 15343-evening, taught in English) Have less stress and more fun with your kids! Develop positive and effective approaches to communicating with children using the “Love and Logic” process. Reduce control battles and help children solve their own problems. Let empathy and consequences do the teaching.
Psychology
PSY101 – Psychology of Human Relations
(CRN 14600) This course explores basic principles of psychology necessary for enhancing self-understanding, effective communication, and development of positive interpersonal relationships. Covers developing emotional well-being, determining values and setting goals, and dealing with problems and changes in interpersonal relations resulting from an individual’s growth and development.

Many opportunities exist to teach English to students around the world. Enroll in our TEFL Chemeketa course and receive a TESOL certifícate in just 4 weeks. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is a globally used term which refers to the teaching of English to students whose first language is not English. With a TESOL certifícate in hand, you will be able to embark on your new career as an English teacher in another country. The price for this course is $2,490. Welding
XWLD9050A Basic Arc Welding (CRN 14431)
This class focuses on Basic principles involved in making fillet welds on mild steel using standard industrial producers, equipment, and the welding (SMAW) process. Includes information concerning other welding process and compares them to the shielded metal arc welding process.
Esta clase se enfoca en soldado básico tipo arco, incluyendo el soldado de tiras en acero blando. Cubre procedimientos, equipo y electrodos con protecciones durante el proceso de soldado en arco (SMAW) siglas inglesas.

CPR and First Aid
Many job descriptions require a recent certificate in CPR. The students enrolled in this course will be eligible to be CPR certified as lay rescuers by the American Heart Association. Classes taught in either English or Spanish.
