Finding Funding for Great Ideas
If you have a great idea, but you need money to support it, there are several ways you can find funding.
Find similar programs or projects nationally or locally. Contact the project staff, read their websites or articles, and find out how they were funded. People love to talk about their work and their successes with others who are passionate about the same ideas. Learn from them. Share ideas. Remember that funders love collaboration.
Browse our extensive list of resources and funders. Please check back, as this list is updated frequently.
Check out our listing of current calls for proposals that may be of interest to the Chemeketa community (on the internal site).
Make sure the Grants Office knows about your interests and priorities so we can contact you when we find opportunities you may find interesting.
When you read profiles of funders and grant programs, make sure they make grants in our region, the grants are for amounts appropriate for your work, and their list of past grants is consistent with what you want to do.
If you've found funders you might like to approach, or if you have questions, contact Diane Schmitz at 503.399.6031 or Bart Boyer at 503.399.6032.
