Adult Basic Education & GED classes in Salem

Our Adult Basic Education (ABE)/General Educational Development (GED) program assists adults in improving their basic skills in several areas, including mathematics, reading, writing, basic computer literacy and learning strategies classes. Classes in this program are taught by qualified and experienced instructors. Students enrolled in the program also have access to the program's computer lab, where they can get additional help from our instructional technicians. The Salem Lancaster campus offers pre-GED and GED classes, including –

  • Computer Basics
  • Math (three levels)
  • Reading & Writing (three levels)
  • Science (two levels)
  • Social Studies (two levels)
  • Classes to help students prepare for and be successful in college

Although most students enrolled in the program are preparing for the GED exams, many are enrolled to enhance basic and pre-employment skills.
