Covers development of correct formats for business reports, letters, memos, tabbed columns, and forms. Uses a variety of input methods, such as CD ROM dictation, voice recognition software, and printed rough drafts. Develops basic skill in the transcription of recorded documents. Stresses application of language arts skills. Develops the skill to produce documents accurately within specifi ed timed guidelines and touch type at a minimum of 40 words per minute on 3-minute timings (with specifi ed error limits).
Prerequisite: touch keyboarding ability of 35 words per minute (no penalty for errors; 3-minute timings) and grade of “C” or better in BT099 and CA202D.
