Chemeketa has classes to help you earn a high school equivalency certificate (GED) and to improve your basic skills in reading, writing, math and computer basics.
Adult Basic Education and General Educational Development (GED)
The program offers Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED preparation classes to anyone who does not have a high school diploma or needs to review basic skills, and is at least 18 years old. If you are 16 or 17 please contact GED Options with the High School Programs 503.399.5293.
The GED program allows you to earn a high school equivalency certificate by passing tests in Language Arts Writing, Language Arts Reading, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics. If you would like information on enrolling in GED classes, please call 503.399.5224. Class fees are $35 a term.
If you would like information on GED testing, please call 503.399.6556. The GED testing fee is $100. The test schedule is published in the quarterly schedule of classes. It may also be obtained from the Advising and Counseling Center by calling 503.399.5120.
