Other Offerings
We offer other alternatives to the traditional GED preparation classes.
Basic Skills Development (BSD) is a program within Adult Basic Education that offers non-credit classes to college students who need to improve their reading, writing and math skills in order to be successful in college credit classes. Chemeketa's GED Options class is for individuals aged 16 and 17 who are interested in enrolling in prepatory classes prior to taking the GED test. Prior to attending program orientation and class registration, all new students must complete assessment. All 16 and 17 year olds are required to bring a signed and completed Enrollment for Underage Students Form to testing - you cannot begin your assessment without this form. Spanish GED is for individuals interested in taking the GED in Spanish. This class provides a good opportunity to prepare for the exams. For class hours and orientation, contact Rick Dellenback at 503.399.8479.
High School Equivalency Program (H.E.P.) is a federally funded program to assist migrant and seasonal farm workers and their families to obtain a GED certificate. Contact 503.589.7725 for more information.
