HEP
High School Equivalency Program
The High School Equivalency Program (HEP) is a federally funded program for migrant and seasonal farmworkers to assist them in the process of obtaining their GED certificate. This is a 10-week intensive high school studies program that runs typically in the evenings from Monday thru Friday. Applications are generally taken year round, for our program is offered every quarter of the year: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. Student Services
We provide HEP students with the academic skills necessary to successfully pass the GED exams.
Moreover, we make the following information available to students:
- Higher education
- Employment opportunities
- Job training programs
- Military service
Additional Services
In addition to the academic program, other services available to the students include:

- Personal advising and counseling

To qualify, applicant must:
- Be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Not have earned a high school diploma in the United States.
- Have worked at least 75 days within the last two years in agriculture as a migrant or seasonal farmworker. This includes any activity directly related to the production of crops, dairy products, poultry or livestock; the cultivation or harvesting of trees including nursery and forestry work; or fish farmwork.

Have participated within the last two years in a Migrant Education Program (MEP) or in a National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP).
You may also qualify for HEP if one of your parents or legal guardians meets the migrant or seasonal farmwork requirement described above.

Remember that we take applications every term including for class enrollment in the summer quarter.
