Winema School
"For the first time in my life, I'm hungry to learn anything and everything."
You don't have to settle for anything less than a high school diploma.
Winema School at Chemeketa Community College offers a program designed to provide a safe environment that promotes student respect, responsibility and success. Winema's closed campus and high expectation behavioral policies all contribute to providing safe surroundings where students are free to focus on their courses and goals.
The greatest advantage of attending Winema is the fresh start you are offered, both socially and academically.
Winema School starts new classes every three weeks
The Students
All Winema students are 16 years of age and older. Their goal is to complete their secondary education and earn their high school diploma in the most direct manner possible.
The expectations for Winema students are the same as for its staff:
- To demonstrate respectful behavior
- To show patient regard for diversity
- To maintain excellent attendance
- To contribute positive vitality
- To share concern for the welfare of the program
Every minute in a Winema school day is intensely focused on student well being and ultimately on achievement of measurable academic outcomes.
Winema treat all of their students as adults and holds them to high expectations.
Classes are taught Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. in accelerated block schedules.
