Coaches

Nathan Pratt-Head Baseball Coach

Coach Pratt is in his first year as head coach for the Storm. He spent the past three years as the assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator at Western Oregon University. During his tenure at WOU the Wolves won three consecutive league titles and placed third in the West Regional Tournament in 2006. Prior to his stint at WOU, Coach Pratt spent three years as the associate head coach at Lane Community College. During his years there, Lane won two conference titles and won the NWAACC championship in 2004. Pratt has also coached the Bend Elks of the WCCBL and the Bi-Mart Challengers of Eugene.

Pratt attended high school in Redmond, OR where he was two-time player of the year in the IMC, a 1st team all-state selection in 1998, and an honorable mention USA Today All-American. Pratt spent his college years at Lane CC then St. Martin's University. During his freshman year as a middle infielder, Lane won the 1999 NWAACC championship. During his sophomore year Lane finished 3rd at the NWAACC tournament. Pratt batted over .500 in the tournament and was named to the all-tournament team. After earning his associated degree at Lane, he transferred to St. Martin's University where he was selected to the 2000 NCAA Division II Academic All-American Team. Pratt graduated with a bachelor's degree in social studies in 2002 and will earn his master's degree in education from WOU this summer.

Tyler Moore

Tyler Moore is in his first year at Chemeketa as an assistant coach. He graduated from David Douglas High School where he was a 1st team All- league infielder as a senior and honorable mention All- state. He continued school and baseball at Mt. Hood Community College and was a first team All-region selection and second team All- NWAACC selection. Tyler set Mt. Hood's all-time home run record with nine. After attending Mt. Hood, Tyler transferred to the University of Illinois at Chicago where he played one year and made it to the Long Beach State regional. He then came back to Oregon to play his senior year at Western Oregon University and helped the Wolves win the GNAC league title and advance to the West Regional Tournament. He is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology at WOU.

Jared Neyens

Jared Neyens is the first year pitching coach at Chemeketa Community College. Jared played two seasons at Edmonds Community College where they took third place in 2005 at the NWAACC tournament. After his two-year stay at Edmonds he went on to play two seasons at Western Oregon University. In his senior year as the closer he compiled a record of 4-1 with a 1.65 e.r.a. with 7 saves and helped the Wolves win their 7th straight GNAC conference championship. He received second team all-GNAC relief pitcher and also NWBACC All-Regional second team relief pitcher. During his college career he was head pitching coach for the Seattle Stars 13 year old select team which place 2nd in state in 2007. Jared will graduate this spring from WOU with a bachelor's degree in Social Science with a minor in Art History.
