Spring Craft Fair
Chemeketa Community College would like to invite you to participate in its Spring Craft Fair, Friday, May 2 2008, 8 a.m. 4 p.m. on the quad.
There will be entertainment, food booths, vendors and more. All proceeds for this event will go to support community service projects.
We are also seeking commercial and handcraft vendors that would like to participate in the Spring Craft Fair. Spacing is limited and will be available on a

Cinco de Mayo Celebration Woodburn! 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Many cultural experiences will be offered including history, music, dance, folklore, food, and arts.
This fiesta is much more than a great celebration of fun and cultures – it also shows the essence of Woodburn's richness and diversity!
We hope you can join us for this annual educational/social Woodburn Campus event.

Artistic performances by Woodburn HS Mariachi Band, Folkloric Dancers from North Marion HS's Aguilas Unidas Club, Mexican singer Jesus Segura, Los Inesperados Phonomimic Show, and much more. A Mexican food vendor will have tacos for sale. Door prizes! In the Quad.

28th Annual Stan Davey Classic Auto Show. 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Quad. There will be a raffle for prizes, 50/50 raffle, food by Adam's Ribs, car bash, and music. Raffle proceeds will benefit the Marion County Firefighters' Dislocated Victims Fund. Follow this link for vehicle registration forms.

Chemeketa Community College Student Leadership Team and Chemeketa Athletics present a Mother's Day Tea and Fashion Show. Proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
Foundation and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Fashions provided by Lane Bryants, Liz Claiborne, Jones New York, Chemeketa Bookstore, Petite Sophisticates, and more. For more information,

Electronics Program Celebrates 50 years! 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Bldg. 4, Rm. 122. The electronics program is celebrating their 50 year (as per available records) training people for careers in the technology sector. From Industrial Control to Integrated Mask Design and Radio Frequency Design to Network Technology, the program has stayed with technology as it changes.
Please come visit past and current students, instructors, and staff, while taking a look at some of the accomplishments of those students in their current careers. Drawings and light refreshments throughout the day.

Eyes Wide Open is a display showing the costs of the war in Iraq. This event is hosted by the Chemeketa Universal Unity Alliance club and the Student Leadership Team. Included in the display are 92+ combat boots labeled with the rank, name, age, and hometown of service personnel who have died from Oregon, 325 civilian shoes, labeled with the name of an Iraqi individual who has died, 10 contractor hats with labels to represent civilian contractors who have died, an economic cost exhibit, and a prayer flag display naming all 4,000+ US military casualties. There will also be extra flags and materials for visitors to add name, rank, and date of death to be displayed. Located on the new quad.

Student Art Show
Reception: Wednesday, May 27, noon-2 p.m.
Juried by artists from the community, this exhibit features the best of student work. Look for exquisite examples from the myriad of classes
offered at Chemeketa: glass, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, pottery, design, and sculpture. Any student who has taken a credit
art course in the past two years is eligible to enter up to two pieces for the jurying process. Awards include the President's Purchase Award
and over $300 in other prizes.
