Eurydice (Sarah Ruhl). Eurydice is the reimagined myth of Orpheus through its heroine. Dying on her wedding day, Eurydice journeys to the underworld, reunites with her father, and struggles to remember her lost love. This contemporary take is a fresh look at a timeless love story. 7:30 pm. Bldg. 6, Auditorium. $10 general admission, $8 students and seniors, and free H.S. students with ID. Grand Illusion (Jean Renoir, 1938, France) Based on actual accounts, this is a story of French aviators, held as prisoners of war in Germany during WWI, and their attempts to maintain their humanity and escape. Despised by the Nazis, who tried to destroy it when they occupied Paris, Grand Illusion was re-released to theaters world-wide in 1999 upon the discovery of the original camera negative. Restored.
