The Book Exchange
The Book Exchange offers a free, non-profit service to Chemeketa students as an alternative for purchasing new books for their classes. Operated by the Associated Students of Chemeketa (ASC), and located in Building 2, Room 176 next to the office of Student Life and College Retention, this exchange allows students to sell books they no longer need to other students who may need them. It also allows students to buy books offered by other students at a reduced price. Students may also buy or sell calculators and any other items required for use in their classes.
Students can bring their books to the Book Exchange window during finals week and set their own price. A list of available books for purchase is displayed the first week of the following term for students seeking to buy used textbooks.
All books not claimed by the due date on the contract become the property of the office of Student Retention and College Life. Any profits will be used for the operation of the Book Closet.
