Leadership Opportunities
Associated Students of Chemeketa (ASC) Executive Board
Get involved and represent the Chemeketa student voice on the Chemeketa Board of Education, Oregon Community College Student Association (OCCSA), College Council, and various college standing committees. The ASC Executive Board works in service to the student body and ASC Student Council organizes and participates in presentations, discussions, and /or projects related to student representation. Provides representative support for students of diverse backgrounds.

Cultural Forum
The Cultural Forum student work team's mission is to increase the college community's cultural awareness by supporting the many cultures on campus. The Cultural Forum is staffed by a diverse student work team that manages and schedules the Multicultural Center in Bldg 2. This team of student plans projects and events that teach cultural competency to the community with the assistance of Chemeketa staff. The forum provides an opportunity for you to learn about different cultures as you develop leadership, and professional skills for today's multi-cultural work environment.

International Student Ambassadors
As an International Student Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to work with students from different parts of the world. You will conduct campus tours and assist with student recruitment, orientations, and presentations for international students. Respond to requests from prospective students (domestic and overseas). You will also assist international admissions and the language institute staff. Positions are currently available. Mentor
The TRIO Mentor program pairs you with middle school and high school students to encourage them to attend college. The program begins winter term and runs through spring term and requires two hours per week. Mentors participate in a free two-credit seminar class each term.

Peer Assistants
Peer Assistants are available to assist you with personal, social, and academic concerns. If you need help with career options, four-year transfer information, scholarship research, or just campus directions, we can help. Peer Assistants can be found in the Counseling Center, Building 2.

Student Ambassadors
This program gives you the opportunity to work as an intern in a variety of college settings. As an Ambassador, you may conduct campus tours and provide assistance to prospective students through telephone contacts and correspondence. You may be involved in recruitment, promotional events, high school visitations, and working with international and multi-cultural students.

Student Center Assistants
Come and get the customer service skills you need as a Student Center Assistant. They are the main reception and information agents for Student Retention & College Life's front counter. They maintain display cases, bulletin boards and public areas of the Student Center. They manage other support services for the department such as the free speech area/board and complete projects that support our department.

Student Leadership Team
The Student Leadership Team works on a variety of projects such as campus clubs, The Book Closet and the Student Leadership Development program. They provide support and organize the Council of Clubs, Club Fairs, The Book Closet and assists with projects for the Student Leadership Development Program such as creating displays and publicity in conjunction with activities.
