To be admitted to Chemeketa Community College as an international student, you must be 18 years of age or older and you must be a high school graduate. In addition, you will need to complete your admissions file before the due date.
To complete your file, follow these steps:
Step 1 – Fill out and submit the International Admission Application. There is no application fee. You can download an application packet or you may request that one be mailed to you. You must complete the entire application before we can issue the Form I-20. If you are transferring to Chemeketa from another U.S. college or university, also fill out the International Student Transfer Questionnaire (on Page 7 of the application).
You will be notified of your admission status by mail after your application is received and verified by the International Admissions Office. When you are notified of your acceptance, you will also be given a date to attend orientation and registration.
Step 2 – When you receive the letter of acceptance and Form I-20 from Chemeketa, you will then need to pay the SEVIS fee. After this, go to the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for a student visa.
Step 3 – Make travel arrangements and contact Chemeketa for arrival instructions.
