What's new for this year

Chemeketa Scholars may receive a full tuition scholarship for up to two years in any field of study, including one of our career technical programs. The scholarship is awarded to applicants who meet the following eligibility requirements -
High School Students
- Attend high school in Chemeketa’s district or reside within Chemeketa's district
- Earn a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or better (as of first semester/quarter grades of final year in high school)
- Earn minimum COMPASS placement test scores of 80 in Reading and 75 in Writing; a minimum math score is not required (although you must take the math placement test)*
- Be on track to earn a regular high school diploma
- Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa the fall that immediately follows high school graduation
Home-schooled Students
- Reside within Chemeketa's district
- Be registered with the Willamette Education Service District (WESD) as a home-school student (documentation is required)
- Earn minimum COMPASS placement test scores of 80 in Reading and 75 in Writing; a minimum math score is not required (although you must take the math placement test)*
- Earn ACT composite score of 27 or SAT Reasoning Test combined score of 1200 in Critical Reading and Math
- Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa the fall immediately after completing high school requirements
Military Veterans
- Meet requirements above for either high school students or home-schooled students
- Joined the military within three months of graduating from high school or completing high school requirements
- Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa within six months of military discharge
* SAT/ACT substitutions are not allowed in lieu of placement tests.
