Testing Services

Chemeketa Community College administers a variety of exams to students, prospective students and community members.

What to bring to your test Fall 2016 school closure & non-testing days
  • You are required to show a valid photo ID each time you test.
  • Cell phones, backpacks, laptops, and all other electronic items must be left outside the testing room.
  • If you are driving to our Salem Campus, you will need a parking permit during your stay. You can receive a temporary parking permit at either the Public Safety booth located next to the Green Parking lot or at the Public Safety window inside Building Two.
  • September 5th and 13th
  • September 15th, 22nd and 29th after 5 pm
  • October 7th from 8 am to 12 pm
  • November 11th , 24th-25th
  • December 23rd-26th, 30th
  • January 1st and 2nd

Each location offers placement testing, though availability of other exams may be limited. Please contact the location where you wish to test for schedule and procedures –

Testing at the Salem Campus

The Salem campus administers numerous exams, including but not limited to –

Placement Testing Only– no appointment necessary
Bldg. 3, Rm. 267, Salem Campus

Placement Testing Hours
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday
10 am – 5 pm (Must begin before 3 pm)
10 am – 8 pm (Must begin before 6 pm)

All other testing – appointment required
Bldg. 2, Rm. 101, Salem Campus

  • Paper testing is scheduled on the half hour (9:30 am, 10:30 am etc.)
  • Computer testing is scheduled on the hour (9 am, 10 am etc.)

Please note that the deadline for scheduling appointments is 4 pm on the previous business day

Special hours for "Finals Week" testing

During Finals Week, The Salem Campus' Testing Center offers extended hours for testing to accommodate the increase in volume of testers during this period.

As available slots for appointments fill quickly for this week, our department highly recommends that you schedule your appointments early.
