Scholarship Workshops
Finances shouldn’t prevent anyone from enrolling in college. That’s why the Chemeketa Community College Foundation is hosting two scholarship workshops February 18 and 25.
The February 18 workshop, slated from 3:30 to 5 p.m. will present an overview of the scholarships available from the Chemeketa Foundation and the Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC).
On February 25, an essay-writing workshop is scheduled from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Roger Sauer, a Chemeketa English instructor, will assist participants in crafting essays for scholarship applications. Participants are urged to write a draft essay prior to the workshop.
The Chemeketa Foundation administers more than 80 scholarships and OSAC oversees nearly 400 scholarships including Ford Family scholarships.
Both workshops will be held on the Chemeketa Salem campus in Building 2, Room 212. For more information, contact Deirdre Echols at dsauer@chemeketa.edu or 503.315.4279.

"If to be venerated for benevolence,
if to be admired for talents, if to be esteemed for patriotism, if
to be beloved for philanthropy, can gratify the human mind, you must
have the pleasing consolation to know that you have not lived in vain."
George Washington in a letter to Benjamin Franklin in 1789
