Art Program Scholarship

Award Amount: $200 awards
Available Awards: 2
Specific Course of Study: Art program
Required Academic Standing: Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
Enrollment Status: Full- or part-time
Financial Constraints: None
Other Criteria: Must have a portfolio of 5 - 10 pieces such as drawing, ceramic, sculpture, painting, photography, glass, or computer generated illustrations (see below).
Additional Application Requirements: Qualified students will be asked to submit a portfollio.All items must be clearly labeled with artist's name and the title of work.
Eligible Expenses: Tuition and fees for credit art classes and/or art supplies from the bookstore for spring term.
Background Information: This fund was established through proceeds from the Art Program's Annual Holiday Sale.

Checklist for Art students to determine eligibility:
  1. Have you taken 6 credits in Art at Chemeketa in the past year?
  2. Do you intend to continue taking art classes?
  3. Do you have a portfolio?
           Portfolio requirements: 5-10 actual pieces of art such as drawings, ceramics, sculpture, 
           paintings, photography, glass, or computer generated illustrations; OR accurate reproductions in
           slides; OR accurate reproductions on a CD (jpgs,@6x8 inches, 300 dpi; AND a slide sheet listing
           titles, and media dimensions.
  4. Submit portfolio to bldg. 1, room 265 on Monday, November 30th for review: pick up time (TBA).
  5. Students will be notified of the Art Scholarship Committee's decision by the first part of winter term.
