Bryce Bagnall & SOB Scholarship

Award Amount: $500 award for the academic year.
Available Awards: 1
Specific Course of Study: Students enrolled in the Winemaking and/or Vineyard Management Program.
Required Academic Standing: 2.0 GPA
Enrollment Status: Minimum 6 credits
Financial Constraints: Preference to students with need and not receiving assistance from other sources.
Other Criteria: n/a
Additional Application Requirements: In addition to the personal statement, an additional essay is required (see below).
Eligible Expenses: Tuition and fees.
Background Information: This fund was established initially by a gift from the Supporters of Bryce (the SOBs) and Marcia Bagnall.

Submit a 250-300 word essay on the following topic:

The Oregon wine industry demonstrated extraordinary generosity to Bryce Bagnall and his family when he was diagnosed with ALS in 2003.  As a future member of this community it is incumbent on you to carry forward this spirit of community mindedness.  List at least three specific ways you plan to participate in, serve, and benefit your Oregon wine industry neighbors and colleagues.
