Foundation
Scholarships
If money is standing between you and a course at Chemeketa, the college's foundation has scholarships available to help overcome that barrier.
Because of a generous challenge grant from the James and Marion Miller Foundation in Portland, Chemeketa students will have an additional $300,000 available in scholarship funds for the 2009-2010 academic year.
The $150,000 Miller grant matched the gifts of local donors who contributed an additional $150,000 to the many different scholarship funds offered by the Chemeketa Foundation. Employees of Chemeketa gave over $75,000 to help meet the challenge, and community donors gave an additional $75,000. Now is the time to start the application process.

Scholarship Workshops
Finances shouldn’t prevent anyone from enrolling in college. That’s why the Chemeketa Community College Foundation will host informational scholarship workshops during openings.
Scholarship Workshops are available during opening periods to present an overview of the scholarships available and the application process. We can also provide assistance with writing a personal statement. Participants are encouraged to write a draft essay prior to the workshop. No pre-registration is required.
The Chemeketa Foundation offers over 90 scholarships and awards over $280,000 annually.
All scholarship workshops will be held on the Chemeketa Salem campus in Building 2, Room 212 (Tutoring Center) unless otherwise noted. For more information, contact Otilia Morales at oflores@chemeketa.edu or at 503.399.6990. If you need to submit items here is the fax #503.399.5528..
Scholarship applications for next academic year will be available at these workshops.
