Study Abroad

Studying abroad promotes cross-cultural understanding, broadens your global perspective, and prepares you for your future. We offer full terms of study abroad opportunities with instructors from Oregon colleges. Fall term is in Florence, Italy and spring term is in Paris, France. You enroll for 12 credits of transferable and degree-related courses such as history, writing, theater or geography using the vast resources of two of Europe's oldest cities. When not in class, you can spend your time taking in the local flavor and enjoying the rich history of these cities and their home countries.

There are also two summer study abroad opportunities. There is a two-week Spanish immersion course in San Miguel Allende, Mexico, where you can earn 4 credits of college level Spanish at your proficiency level. There is also a month-long study in Costa Rica which combines Spanish language immersion and field biology. You can earn 4 credits of college Spanish at your proficiency level, and complete BI200 Principles of Ecology - Field Biology, a 4-credit course that fulfills a science requirement.

Our study abroad program is offered in conjunction with the Oregon International Education Consortium of seven community colleges (OIEC) and the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS).

For more information on study abroad opportunities, contact Maureen McGlynn at 503-399-6145.
