International Student
Admissions
To be admitted to Chemeketa Community College as an international student, you must be 18 years of age or older and you must be a high school graduate. In addition, you will need to complete your admissions file before the due date.
How to Apply
To complete your file, follow these steps:
Step 1 - English Level. All applicants must be proficient in the English language with a score of at least 450 or higher on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), 133 on the computerized TOEFL test, or 45 on the internet-based TOEFL test. Our International Admissions Office must receive and verify your score of at least 450/133/45 before we can review your admission file. Have your TOEFL results sent to the Admissions Office or be sure to include your results on the admssion application. Chemeketa's TOEFL code is 4745. Use this to have your scores sent directly to Chemeketa when taking the TOEFL.
If your TOEFL score does not meet our admission requirements, you can still attend Chemeketa in our English language program, Chemeketa Language and Culture Institute.
Step 2 - Fill out and submit the International Admission Application. There is no application fee. You can download an application packet or you may request that one be mailed to you. You must complete the entire application before we can issue the Form I-20. If you are transferring to Chemeketa from another U.S. college or university, also fill out the International Student Transfer Questionnaire (on Page 7 of the application).
You will be notified of your admission status by mail after your application is received and verified by the International Admissions Office. When you are notified of your acceptance, you will also be given a date to attend orientation and registration.
Step 3 - When you receive the letter of acceptance and Form I-20 from Chemeketa, you will then need to pay the SEVIS fee. After this, go to the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for a student visa.
Step 4 - Make travel arrangements and contact Chemeketa for arrival instructions.
