Our local partnerships allow us to expand education and employment opportunities for our community. One might be right for you -
We offer Polk County teens smooth transitions from high school to college by collaborating with local schools.
- Many Polk county high school students can earn college credit through Chemeketa's College Credit Now Program, and high school students at Dallas, Morrison or Falls City may be eligible for our Extended Campus Program. Students at Central High School may take Chemeketa courses right at CHS during evening hours. See your high school counselor for details.
- The Chemeketa Scholars Program offers high school seniors who have maintained a minimum 3.5 GPA the opportunity to apply for a two-year all-tuition-paid scholarship to Chemeketa for the program of their choice. See your high school counselor for further information.
- We also collaborate with Western Oregon University in Monmouth. If you plan to transfer to WOU to earn a bachelor’s degree, we have many resources to help you transition between institutions. Your Chemeketa advisor can assist you with transfer advising and degree guides, and if it fits your situation, with the dual-enrollment process
If you are unemployed or under-employed, our partners at WorkSource or HALO in Independence, 503.606.4256, may be able to help you as you enter Chemeketa. Our advisor will be able to connect you to these valuable workforce development partners.
Human Services Partners
Chemeketa Polk Center collaborates many local community agencies. If you are working with a community agency, be sure to ask our advisor how the college and the agency can support your start at Chemeketa together.
The Chemeketa Polk Center partners with local businesses through our local chambers of commerce, The Dallas Chamber and The Monmouth-Independence Chamber. Connecting with local businesses helps us better serve our students and our community. Representatives from Polk County business and industry also serve each year on Chemeketa’s Career and Technical Advisory Committee, providing valuable expertise that assists our Associate of Science program development efforts.

Chemeketa's service to Polk County extends beyond Chemeketa Polk Center. Chemeketa's Northwest Wine Studies Center at Eola provides classes and business support to the local viticulture and wine industry. Also, Chemeketa's Small Business Development Center regularly provides classes and one-on-one assistance to Polk County business owners.
