How can we help?

We provide academic advising throughout the term on an appointment basis only. Academic advising is available as follows –

  • Monday through Thursday- 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Friday- 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

The following workshops are offered multiple times throughout the term.  These workshops will outline and answer the general "how to" questions that come up with new and returning students.  Space is limited so sign up for a workshop in advance by call 503.472.9482.

Getting Started Workshop-This workshop is designed for future students and will provide an introduction to the following-

  • Admission process, accessing college services, financial aid, programs of study, placement testing, costs, and timelines. 

Class Registration Workshop-This workshop is designed for the student who has completed Getting Started, and is ready to register for classes. This workshop covers the following-

  • step-by step information on navigating the college catalog, searching for classes online and in print, and registering for classes online.

Paying for College Workshop-This is an in-depth workshop for students wanting to learn about federal financial aid (FAFSA), scholarship opportunities, and other ways to pay for college.

Computer Startup Workshop- The workshop is designed for both novice computer users as well as those unfamiliar with the Chemeketa website, and the My Chemeketa student portal.  The instructor will work individually with students on the following-

  • General navigation, file management, Chemeketa website navigation, application for admissions, online orientation, and setting up Chemeketa Gmail.

College and Career Exploration Worshop- This hands-on workshop introduces students to the Career and Information System (CIS), an online program that explores career and college programs based on student interests and skills.
