Steps to enroll

Click on the situation that most closely describes yours to find out the best way to get started at Chemeketa's Yamhill Valley Campus.

New Student Pathway

  1. Apply for admission
    • Click here to fill out our web admissions application
    • Your Chemeketa ID number, will be mailed within 3-5 days
  2. Apply for financial aid and scholarships
  3. Take the college placement test
  4. Walk-in testing schedule is as follows:
    • Monday and Wednesday 10 am - 4 pm (last test begins at 2 pm)
    • Tuesday and Thursday 2 pm - 8 pm (last test begins at 6 pm)
  5. Bring your K# and picture ID

  8. View the new student orientation.  THIS IS A REQUIREMENT
  9. Attend the STORM group advising workshops

Returning Student Pathway

  1. If necessary, meet with an advisor by calling 503.472.9482
    • Discuss your transcripts and prior class credit
    • Get information on financial aid, degree programs
    • Update your address and phone number with the front desk
    • Take a placement test if necessary, call 503.472.9482 for next day and time

Transfer Student Pathway

GED Student Pathway

  1. GED Prep Orientations are required for those unsure about readiness to begin GED testing:
    • Call 503.472.9482 for the next day and time
    • If you are coming from another testing site, please see our coordinator for more information
  2. GED Testing is available by appointment.
    • Students are required to attend a 90-minute session before they begin official testing
