YEAR ONE
Attend eleven class sessions on business management topic:
  • Receive on site business consultations with an instructor
  • Identify and set business, family, and individual goals.
  • Learn tax management strategies.
  • Identify and track data to produce an annual business analysis.
  • Learn how to build a complete set of business records.
    • Balance sheet
    • Income statement
    • Cash flow projection
    • Enterprise budgets
YEAR TWO
Attend seven class sessions on advanced agribusiness management topics such as:
  • Risk Management
  • Credit Management
  • Marketing Strategies
  • Business Plan Preparation
  • Wage and Labor Laws
  • Workers’ Compensation
  • Tax Strategies
  • Transition and Estate Planning
  • Continue to receive business consultations.
  • Complete an enterprise and financial analysis of your business.
  • Evaluate management changes.
YEAR THREE AND FIVE
Attend selected classes and workshops as noted in “Second Year.”
  • One-on-one consultation as requested.
  • Expanded use of budgeting and partial budgeting for capital acquisition and whole farm and enterprise decisions.
  • Assistance in evaluating and implementing changes in management strategies.
  • Complete an enterprise and financial analysis of your business.
