Studio Assistant in Ceramics

Ashley started making pottery in high school (about 7 years ago) and has been doing it off and on ever since. After high school he attended Chemeketa (and continued taking pottery classes) for two years until receiving his OAAT transfer degree. He then went to Trinity Western University in Vancouver, BC and received a BA in Psychology. He has been working at Chemeketa as the Ceramics Studio Assistant since the fall of 2007, although he often helped pottery students before working at Chemeketa officially.

He has exhibited in the 2007 Chemeketa Student Art Show, the 2007 Chemeketa Holiday Art Sale, and the 2007 Oregon State Fair. Ashley has been selling his work mostly by word of mouth for 3 years. He is currently working to build a body of work for sale in different galleries.
