Applying to the Dental Assisting Program

Application packets will be accepted from Monday, March 12, 2018 to Friday, May 18, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Enrollment Services in Building 2, Room 200 on Chemeketa's Salem campus.

Criminal Background Check and Drug Testing

Upon entry into the program, you will be required to pass a criminal background check and pass a ten-panel drug screening urinalysis conducted by a college approved vendor. If you do not pass the criminal background check and/or the drug screening, program registration will not be possible. If you are arrested during the time you're enrolled in the program, you must notify the Dental Assisting Program Chair of the arrest. Your status in the program will be reviewed by the Dental Assisting Program Chair and the Dean of Health Sciences. A possible outcome of the review may be your inability to continue in the program.

Once admitted to the program and prior to starting fall term, the following approximate expenses must be paid between July 10 - 28:

Dental Kit - $434.00

Immunizations/TB tests - $150.00

CPR class - $80.00

Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen- $90.00

Uniform and shoes - $350.00 (due at August orientation)
