Childcare Billing & Late Fee Policy

1. Childcare bills will be ready for you at the beginning of each month in your parent mailbox.  Please carefully look over bill for accuracy.  You may keep the bill for your records.
   
   
2. Invoices for childcare must be paid by the 15th of each month.  A late payment fee of $25 will be added to any unpaid balances as of the due date.  Failure to pay by the due date may be cause for terminating childcare services.  Until all outstanding debts owed to the College are paid in full no College services may be received (including but not limited to child care, course registration and requests for transcripts).  Children will be re-enrolled at the beginning of any month when the childcare charges for the previous months have been paid in full.
   
   
3. Checks should be made payable to Chemeketa Community College and may be paid in person at the Enrollment Center, upstairs, Building #2 or by mail to Chemeketa Community College, Business Services, PO Box 14007, Salem, OR 97309-7070.  Payment may also be made using a Visa or MasterCard credit card in person at the Enrollment Center or by phone at 503.399.5011.
   
   
4. We are unable to refund fees due to absence and are unable to permit substitutions. Fees will be adjusted only when a child is withdrawn from the center, or there is a change in the child's attendance schedule (i.e., five days a week to three days a week, etc.). 
   
   
5. We will try to be flexible and accommodate requests for "extra days."  Once a request has been accepted we will bill you for the time, used or unused.  Sandy Clouser is the only staff person who will receive and accept these requests.
   
   
6. LATE FEE: Children who are scheduled for the morning only, must be picked up and gone from the center by 12:30 p.m. otherwise a late fee will be charged.  The charge is $5.00 for the first ten minutes; $1.00 per minute thereafter, and they still must depart. This fee will be added to your next month's child care bill.  The center closes at 5:15 p.m. sharp.  Children who have not departed by 5:15 p.m. will be charged a late fee of $5.00 for the first ten minutes; $1.00 per minute thereafter.  This fee will be added to your next month's childcare bill.
   
   
7. Finals week:  The Child Development Center will only be open on Monday and Tuesday during finals week.  We will be closed the remainder of finals week so that the college students can have their final exam at the lab.  Childcare bills will be pro-rated during school months where there are an excessive number of holidays and early closure due to finals schedules.
