Schedules
*Half-days are considered 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. From 7:30 - 8 a.m. and from 5 - 5:15 p.m. there will be space available for six children only, due to teacher ratios. Reservations are necessary to use this time. Please call the center to reserve an early a.m. space. After 8 a.m., children without an early arrival reservation may arrive. All children must arrive by 9 a.m., and morning only children must be picked up and gone from the center by 12:30 p.m.*
Hours for any one child will not be less than three or more than nine hours per day. Children must attend at least two half-days per week, three half-days per week if the child is in the four-year-old classroom, and five half-days per week if the child is in the kindergarten group.
The attendance schedule that will best fit your requirements will be determined in conjunction with the center's director. We will try to be flexible and accommodate requests for "extra days." Once a request has been accepted we will bill you for the time, used or unused. Sandy Clouser is the only staff person who will receive and accept these requests.
Late Fee
Children who have not left the center by 12:30 p.m. will be charged $5 for the first ten minutes; $1 per minute thereafter, and still must depart. Center closes at 5:15 p.m. sharp. Children who have not departed by 5:15 p.m. will be charged a late fee of $5 for the first ten minutes; $1 per minute thereafter.
Monthly Child Care Bills:
Fees are payable in advance to the business office at Chemeketa and must be paid by the 15 of each month. Statements are prepared and ready to sign at the Child Development Center on the first of the month. Failure to pay by this time limit shall be cause for terminating child care services.
We are unable to refund fees because of an absence and are unable to permit substitutions. Fees will be adjusted only when a child is withdrawn from the center or if there is a change in the child's attendance schedule (i.e., five days a week to three days a week, etc.).
Frequent unexcused absences shall be cause for terminating child care services.
These rates are effective as of September 1, 2008.
Fee Increases
The Early Childhood Education Advisory Committee has approved the following system for fee increases. Fees will be charged at a daily rate of $28.75 per full day and $17.75 per half day and will remain at that rate throughout the school year. The advisory committee has approved the above fees for the 2008- 2009 school year.
The E.C.E. Advisory Committee determines our fee increases annually and will re-evaluate our childcare fees each spring to determine if fees are at their true market value and cost. A determination will be made at that time as to what the next fee increase should be.
