Halloween Costumes

We would like to suggest the following guidelines for the wearing of Halloween costumes.

Children are free to dress in costume any day of the year, but they especially may want too on Halloween.  We will not be planning to have everyone in costume, but it is fine if your child would like to "dress-up" for Halloween.

You, as parents, can be very helpful by guiding the selection of the costume.  Costumes that encourage aggressive play (war costumes or superheros) or are frightening (monsters, witches) would not be appropriate for school.  The wearing of masks, of all types, poses safety problems and will not be permitted to be worn at school.

Some suggestions for fun costumes would include a storybook character or some type of occupation.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us plan for an enjoyable day.
