Parent Participation

Parents are valued participants in our program.  We welcome your visits, questions and involvement.

Ways to be involved:

• Use arrival and departure times for daily contact with your child's teacher.
• Participate in parent conferences scheduled each fall and spring or as needed.
• Attend the family social events and parent meetings.
• Help with a special Center project.
• Read parent newsletters and bulletin board.
• Let us know about special interests, skills, or cultural experiences you could share with the children.
• Volunteer in a classroom when staff request parent participation for a day or for a special activity.
• Participate in the Early Childhood Education Advisory Board.

Early Childhood Education Advisory Committee

The ECE Advisory Committee has two parent representatives who serve for a three year period. There are parent representatives from both classrooms.  The parent representatives are there to represent parents' needs, views and issues in regards to the ECE program and lab school.  The board meets once a term during the school year.  All parents are welcome to attend.
