Become a Teacher - Start with Chemeketa

Chemeketa creates a clear path for students who want to earn a four-year degree in education. The Chemeketa education department gives students a chance to take select education courses and practicum in schools to start experiencing a career in teaching from the beginning of their college study. This combination of education courses, experience and general education coursework prepares students to understand the field of teaching and successfully transfer to a university to complete their bachelor’s degree.

  • Complete the first two years of your degree
  • Unique opportunity to use bilingual skills in an education career
  • Classes offered in Salem and Woodburn
