EMT/Paramedic

EMT Cross of Life Crest The EMT/Paramedic Associates degree program at Chemeketa prepares you for an entry-level position in this field and offers continuing education courses so you can keep your skills up-to-date. Chemeketa offers excellent on-campus facilities and outstanding clinical training sites.

Working toward EMT-Paramedic certification, you will complete 300 hours of hospital clinical experience and up to 500 hours of field internship. Clinical experiences focus on developing the skills, attitudes, and work habits necessary for you to be successful in a career.

The EMT-Basic functions in a pre-hospital environment as a vital link in the chain of the health-care team. Successful completion of EMT151 and EMT152B qualifies you to take the State of Oregon and/or National Registry certification exam.

An EMT-Intermediate functions in the pre-hospital environment as a vital link in the chain of the health-care team. Successful completion of EMT167A and EMT167B qualifies you to take the State of Oregon and/or national Registry certification exam.
