EMT Intermediate
EMT - EMT-Intermediates, comprising EMT-2s and EMT-3s, have additional training that allows them to use defibrillators to restart a heart that has stopped, give fluids intravenously, and clear the airway using sophisticated techniques and equipment.
EMT Intermediate courses follow the Oregon EMT-Intermediate curriculum. Students will be required to complete a college placement exam prior to beginning this course. Students must be a currently certified Oregon EMT-Basic before enrolling in this course. Successful completion qualifies the student to take the State of Oregon examination for certification as an EMT-Intermediate
