Fire Protection
Chemeketa Community College offers two separate degrees in Fire Protection:
Associate of Applied Science in Fire Protection - Suppression
You will gain experience -- while still a student --- as you work a 24-hour duty shift each week. Fire Suppression students respond to actual emergency incidents under the supervision of fire department officers.
Associate of Applied Science in Fire Protection - Prevention
When you graduate with a degree in Fire Prevention, you will be prepared for a career with a public fire department or industrial business as a prevention specialist.
Both options include training and education for those wanting to enter these exciting fields and for those already employed who need additional training.
