Health Information Management Career Video
HIM is the administrative side of health care which includes working with patients, computers, and doctors. It requires an understanding of medical information, and an interest in providing quality health care to others. As the country moves toward electronic health information, jobs in this exciting area will be expanding to meet the ever increasing need for medical administrative professionals. You may wish to pursue a supervisory role in health care. Obtaining an AAS degree in HIM broadens your career opportunities for any administrative position regardless of whether or not you are interested in a supervisory role in health care.
Limited Enrollment
The Health Informaiton Management Program is limited to a total of 70 students per year. An application for admission to the program is required. Applications for Fall 2013 will be accepted from March 18, 2013 through May 24, 2013. Please see the program application packet for more details. A criminal background check is required for program entry - please refer to the crime list for more information.
