The first step to entering the program is to take part in an assessment process, which includes taking the college’s free placement test and meeting with Advising and Counseling Services. You may need to complete program entry requirements. The Health Information Management Program is a limited enrollment, two-year AAS degree program that admits 35 students only in the spring term. All prerequisites and courses listed in terms one and two must be completed with a grade of "C" or better before entry into the program.
Spring 2017 Health Information Management application is now available. Application packets will be accepted from Monday, January 30, 2017 to Friday, March 3, 2017 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m in Enrollment Services in Building 2, Room 200 on Chemeketa's Salem campus.
The Health Information Management Program has a process in place by which students who did not complete the second year of the program can become eligible to be on a re-entry or alternate list for possible openings into the second year of Chemeketa's Associate Degree Health Information Management Program. Offer of admission will be based upon space available. This is determined in large part by the number of students applying for the program each year.
Spring 2017 Re-entry application is now available. Re-entry packets will be accepted from Monday, January 30, 2017 to Friday, March 3, 2017 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Health Sciences Department in Building 8, Room 114 on Chemeketa's Salem campus.
