Addiction counselor certification

If you have a bachelor's or master's degree, and wish to work in the field of addiction treatment, you may enroll in the Addiction Counselor Certification Preparation program. This one-year certificate program will prepare you to sit for the Oregon Level 1 Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor exam.

Field work (practicum)

You will work with one practicum site to complete 15-25 credits of practicum.

Students recovering from chemical dependency must have a minimum of two years continuous sobriety in an unrestricted environment before they will be referred to practicum.

Post-Baccalaureate Orientation: 5:30-6:30 p.m., February 4, 2014

The orientation is for students interested in the Addiction Counselor certificate. Students must provide transcripts as proof of earning a bachelor's degree or higher.
