*Admission to the Massage Therapy Program is limited. The University expects that most, if not all, students will exceed the minimum admission requirements.
- All applicants must be at least 18 years old by the start of the program
- All applicants must submit a completed application form and a $50 application fee
- All applicants, by the start of the program, must have earned a high school diploma, its foreign equivalent, or a General Educational Development diploma (GED)
- All applicants must be physically able to perform all job duties of a Licensed Massage Therapist
- All applicants must disclose any previous felony or misdemeanor charges
- All applicants must have an interview with a UWS admissions representative or program director
- All applicants must provide proof of receiving one massage from a licensed professional or through a UWS clinic and provide one professional letter of recommendation
- All applicants must submit a typed essay (details below)
- Applicants must achieve a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better in their most recent diploma, degree or certificate granting program or a sectional GED score of 450 or better
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to take at least one year each of high school biology, chemistry, physics; and mathematics through algebra
