Medical Office Assisting

Due to the recent budget situation, the College is required to make significant budget reductions over the next biennium.  A current recommendation to the College Board is to suspend the one-year Medical Office Assisting Certificate Program effective July 1, 2009.

It is with regret that the College must inform students of this change.  The College recognizes and acknowledges that many students have put considerable time and energy into preparing for admission to the Medical Office Assisting Program.  Students are encouraged to contact Chemeketa's Counseling and Career Services center at 503.399.5120 to explore possible options for continued study.

The Health Sciences department is in the process of working with business and industry partners to explore future Medical Assisting skills training options.  Additional details will be posted as they become available - please check back for updates.
