Basic Nurse Assistant
The Basic Nurse Assistant course is normally offered every term (summer, fall, winter, and spring) on Chemeketa's main campus as a night class 3 nights per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) from 4 - 9:30 pm.
The current cost of the course is:
- Tuition and fees—$1000
- National criminal background check—$30
- Textbook—$56.50
- Scrubs for clinical, stethoscope, gait belt, etc.—approximately $100
Testing fees for the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) include:
- Application to test—$106
- Fingerprinting—$52
Total cost—approximately $1,220
Prerequisites include:

Completion of RD090 or placement into RD115 via Chemeketa's placement test

Clean criminal history

Commitment to being at every class session

Reliable transportation
Applications are now available only online.
Applicants are welcome to review the application anytime. However, these will be accepted only during open enrollment periods (beginning December 1, 2009 for winter term 2010 and beginning March 9, 2010 for spring term 2010).
Applicants are also welcome to go the Oregon State Board of Nursing website at www.osbn.state.or.us to find a listing of all the BNA courses offered in the state.
