Keys are available to you for your classrooms and other rooms or buildings to which you need access. Both day and evening faculty can obtain keys to their classrooms to avoid being locked out. Keys and electronic access cards may be obtained by filling out a Key Request Form (available in your director's office), having your director sign it, and taking it to the Public Safety Office in Bldg 2. There is at least a 24 hour turn around time for college keys. The same process is used to activate your staff ID so that you can use it to obtain access to campus buildings. For outreach or off campus sites, discuss key or card requests with your director or supervisor. There is a $10 replacement fee for each lost key. All keys must be returned to the Public Safety Office when your term of employment is completed. If you don't have a key and your classroom is locked, you may contact Public Safety (using a red phone or calling 399-5023) to request that the door be unlocked. Copies of instructional materials or for other college business can be made in two ways:

Please be as specific as possible - The item library ID as well as the time, place and date you will need the equipment. If your equipment has not arrived when you reach class or the equipment is not working properly, call 503-399-2544. Office Space: Need a place to work or meet students? Building 1 houses a number of faculty offices and faculty secretaries (above the Bookstore). This includes an office space available for adjunct to share computers, copiers and a telephone. There are other office supplies like a scissors and large paper cutter. This office opens at 8:00AM and remains open until 6:30PM Mondays through Thursdays for your convenience. On Fridays, the office will close at 5:00PM. Similar office space in Building 37 is open from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. In order to access your My Chemeketa Account - your classes, staff newsletters, the campus intranet - you will need an ID and password. These are not usually assigned until classes are ready to start and it is clear that your class will go forward. If you need access prior to your class starting, please call your department secretary. If you want a class list prior to receiving your password, you can get one through your department secretary. Because of recent budget cuts, Chemeketa has instituted paid parking. The income from this goes directly to maintaining the parking areas.
The fee for parking permits is $10 per term, or $25 for an annual permit valid for an academic year. Additional permits are $5 per vehicle. Parking fees are non-refundable. Annual permits issued to staff and faculty are available only at the Public Safety Office. You can also authorize a payroll deduction to cover the cost. Parking permits are issued to an individual. The person issued a parking permit is responsible for any parking violation issued to a vehicle displaying the person's permit, regardless of who the operator may be. College employees or students may not use visitor parking permits. Special Permits are issued only to college staff, and are required to park in a space designated as reserved for Special Permits for a maximum of four hours. Violations occurring in these parking spaces are enforceable at all times. Replacement of a lost or stolen permit is free for the first replacement. Subsequent replacements will be assessed the normal permit fee. Motorcycles may park without a permit in designated motorcycle parking areas. Motorcycles parked in a regular parking space must display a valid parking permit. Chemeketa has a Traffic Code policy. Please make yourself familiar with it. You can find it on My Chemeketa Intranet site or from the Office of Public Safety. Staff ID's are available from Public Safety in Building 2's lower level, 503-399-5023. You will need your staff ID for library/media use. This card can be adapted to act as an electronic access keycard to various buildings on campus. (Requires director approval)
